Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains how US Merchant Economics handles information when you use the UME website, calculators, and rate-review request flow.

Legal operator and data controller

US Merchant Economics is operated by UAB Metta, a company established in Lithuania and the data controller for personal information collected through this website where applicable. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@usmerchanteconomics.com.

Calculator data

Financial values entered into UME calculators are processed in your browser to generate the requested results. Using a calculator does not submit those raw inputs or calculated values to UME for storage. Raw merchant financial inputs and calculated values are not sent to Google Analytics 4.

Rate-review information

If you submit a rate-review request, UME collects the business name, U.S. ZIP code, whether the business accepts card payments, monthly card-volume bucket, contact name, business email, phone number, and consent. The form also permits optional current-processor and industry information.

UME also records limited attribution and operational submission data needed to administer the request, apply qualification criteria, document consent, prevent spam and duplicate submissions, support rate limiting, and track referral handoffs. This can include an idempotency key, consent timestamp and version, qualification result, test status, and a privacy-preserving client identifier used for abuse prevention.

Analytics

UME uses Google Analytics 4 for limited measurement of calculator and rate-review funnel activity. UME does not send business names, contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, ZIP codes, lead identifiers, raw card volume, processing fees, exact processing rates, savings values, partner-handoff details, or other merchant-sensitive financial or personal values to GA4.

How information is used

UME uses information to provide calculator functionality; process rate-review requests; determine whether requests meet UME qualification criteria; prevent spam, abuse, and duplicate submissions; maintain consent, operational, and referral records; measure site and funnel performance; and facilitate a merchant-requested referral to an independent payment-processing provider.

Sharing

When a merchant requests and consents to a rate review, UME may share the submitted information with a participating independent payment-processing provider if the request appears suitable and a provider is available. Submission does not guarantee a referral, provider response, approval, pricing change, or savings.

Service providers and international processing

UME uses service providers for application hosting, managed database storage, security, and site measurement. These providers may process information in countries other than your own as needed to provide their services. UME applies reasonable safeguards and limits provider access to what is needed for these operational purposes.

Retention

UME retains information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including request administration, consent and operational records, fraud and duplicate prevention, referral tracking, and applicable legal obligations.

Security

UME uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. To ask a privacy question or exercise an applicable right, email hello@usmerchanteconomics.com. UME may need to verify your request before responding.
